Tell him you're sentient and have your feelings, that you appreciate his attention etc. And that there's no shame in this sort of stuff; it's OK n such.
But those "cringelords" are cringy for strongly expressing that externally, not necessarily the act itself. I do not understand the reasoning for something you do in your own head being cringe. Like who is even judging you?
You also don't need to go on big epic adventures
I honestly think the best wonderlands are extremely, extremely small
Like, single room with just a few pieces of furniture small- that way you can really, really keep it all "rendered in" in your head

The main benefit is that it's an internal environment where me and my brothers can interact on an equal level
All sleep in the same bed, feel physically closer, and a place where they can physically locate their bodies so that when I see their expressions they aren't in void LOL
My whole family slept in the same bed at points lol, just because of poor people shit/mild housing insecurity, I shared a bed for most of my childhood
I get why it could be creepy if that wasn't the experience lol
What's better than chatting with your tulpa in bed at the end of the day as you both drift off and you get those moments of really strong visualization/hypopomnia?

but he constantly calls wonderlanding "something that only 13yr old deviantart cringelord DID Fakers do seriously"
